On April 24, 2024, NASCA hosted the second webinar of the year exploring how state conservation agencies are advancing the Local Work Group process.
Mike Baden of the Washington State Conservation Commission shared some of the ways that Commission assists NRCS and Local Work Group Chairs to provide facilitation services and planning support to help make Local Work Groups meaningful beyond the basic requirements.
Brooke Myres of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Land, Water and Conservation Division shared about the South Carolina Local Work Group Committee including how it was formed, the difficulties it has faced, and the impact it has had on the Local Work Group process throughout the state.
