The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is proposing a new rule to address poultry operations and associated animal waste management practices related to the Poultry Environmental Act. Large-scale poultry manure issues are relatively new to Idaho (we don't currently have any but one is ready to be constructed) and the Idaho Soil & Water Conservation Commission intends to comment on the proposed rule. We are seeking input from NASCA members to help us identify issues that we should be aware of or should identify as being addressed in the rule.
