The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development received an inquiry from an Apiculture Specialist in Hawaii about getting "green belt status on land with beekeeping." My interpretation of what is referred to as green belt is that it is associated with Farmland and Open Space Preservation program and property tax status. Does anyone have a program such as this in their state? Or, can you give me particular information that might be useful in responding to the inquiry. Thanks. Steve
